2. Module Information¶
This section identifies where you will find out information about the projects.
2.1. This document¶
This document describes most aspects of the project. If you have a question about the module, it is a good idea to look in this document. There is a Search facility, which is shown at the bottom of the Navigation list on every page.
2.2. Blackboard¶
The Blackboard (Bb) module is used for several aspects of this module. This includes the module schedule, lecture slides and submission points for electronic uploads.
2.3. Lecture Recordings¶
Panopto recordings will also be made available from two places. Firstly, you can access all of the lecture recordings from the module folder in Panopto at the top of the main module page in Bb. Secondly, the recordings will be added to the same folder as the slides, in the Lectures part of the module.
2.4. Bb Discussion¶
The Bb module contains a Discussion area, accessible from the top-bar for the module. You can use this to ask questions about the module and discuss issues.
Blackboard is a better place for general questions about the module or the deliverables and assessment on the module. If your question is specific to your project, it is probably better to discuss the issue with your supervisor.
2.5. MMP Website¶
The MMP Website is used to support the administration of the projects. This includes managing project topics, allocation of projects, arranging project demonstrations and providing feedback to students. You will be told when it is necessary to use this site.
2.6. Assessment Dates¶
You will be expected to deliver several pieces of work during the project. The timetable for the release and submission of work is listed on the Assessment Dates website.
2.7. Notification of changes to the project information¶
If the information about this module needs to be updated, we will notify you in the following ways:
An email will be sent to the module email lists, e.g. module-cs39440@aber.ac.uk.
An announcement will be made on Bb.
If the item changed is a resource on Bb, e.g. a set of slides for a lecture, then a comment will be added next to the item in Bb. If this documentation is changed, a section on document history will list those changes.
