Project Outline

The Project Outline document will be released on Blackboard on Tue, 27th Jan 2026. You will submit the document to TurnItIn on Tue, 10th Feb 2026. This document is not assessed, but it is required from all students.

Feedback will be provided by your supervisor by Mon, 16th Feb 2026.

Mid-Project Demonstration

You will be allocated a demonstration time for one of the days between Wed, 11th Mar 2026 and Fri, 13th Mar 2026. The timetable will be arranged in weeks 4 and 5.

Project Report and Technical Work

Release date: Mon, 26th Jan 2026

Submission date: Fri, 1st May 2026

Type of submission: Blackboard Assignment and TurnItIn Document

Feedback date: Thu, 25th Jun 2026

Feedback is released when the semester 2 results are released for finalists, which is Thu, 25th Jun 2026.

Final Demonstration

You will be allocated a date for the demonstration, which will be between Mon, 11th May 2026 and Fri, 29th May 2026. We aim to finish the majority of the demonstrations in the first two weeks of this period, and only use the final week if necessary. We will arrange the timetable once the Semester 2 exam timetable has been published.

Feedback is released when the semester 2 results are released for finalists, which is on Thu, 25th Jun 2026.

About Feedback Dates

The provisional feedback date is normally 15 working days after the date of hand-in for the assessment. If there is expected to be a delay on the feedback, you will be notified by email and the date on this page should be updated. The date for feedback might also be more than 15 working days if the University is closed during that time, e.g. during part of the vacation or if the marker has some planned annual leave. The length of time might also be longer if the marking period includes necessary maintenance of Blackboard/TurnItIn (planned or unplanned) during the marking period.
