Project Shortlist¶
The Project Shortlist is a way to let you keep track of project topics that you might be interested in. The Module Co-ordinator will use the list to update anyone interested in a topic of opportunities to discuss the topics with supervisors.
This section describes how the shortlist works.
Building your shortlist¶
The MMP Website will allow you to add and remove topics in your shortlist. There is no limit to the number of projects that you can add to your shortlist. This facility will enable you to keep track of the projects that (i) you would like to know more about and (ii) that you might be interested in bidding for.
The shortlist is intended to help you keep track of projects. It is not the same as selecting 3 project suggestions that you Bid for in the allocation stage.
More information¶
It is important that you find out more information about the topics that you are interested in. There will be a few weeks for you to find out more information once the project suggestions have been released.
We want you to have an understanding of what is involved before you make a Bid for the project. Experience tells us that students who do not find out more about a topic are at risk of bidding for a topic that they later find they do not want to work on. In the worst case, it can significantly affect the result of the project. By taking time to find out more information, you can make an informed decision about the 3 bids that you make.
Further, failure to find out more about a topic may influence our decision about who should be allocated a topic.
