Implementation

The implementation section should discuss the work to implement the design. Discuss any issues you encountered.

During the work, you might have found that elements of your design were unnecessary or overly complex. Perhaps you used third-party libraries that simplified some of the work. If things were easier in some ways, did you make changes to your design and requirements?

It is more likely that things were more complex than you first thought. In particular, were there any problems or difficulties during implementation that you had to address? Did such problems simply delay progress or were there more significant implications?

You can conclude this section by reviewing the end of the implementation stage against the planned requirements.

Plan-driven and agile approaches

As noted in the Structuring the report section of this information, the process you chose to manage the work might mean that you change how you use the Design and Implementation chapters. See the guidance in Structuring the report.
